We spent hours and weeks and months
getting to know each other,
you asking me about my life, my kids, my exes
me asking you about your

When you felt comfortable, you
flirted shamelessly with me and
didn't care who knew.
You teasing me relentlessly
It was days, months and a year before
I let you into my life. And then, you kissed me.
That kiss was magic, like no other
that came before
I dreamed we fell in love,
even if we didn't want to, hopelessly we fell
